Autumn family photos in Edinburgh

An autumn photo session

I had been looking forward to this photo session for years!! I remember meeting Holly for the first time, months before her wedding, and we got on so well right from the start. I photographed Holly and James' wedding in 2011, and shortly after, they moved to Australia and then to New Zealand. While away, their two beautiful children were born. While on a visit to the UK about 4 years ago, I had the pleasure to meet Freddie, when he was just a year old. I had only seen Eliza's photos online and couldn't wait to meet this little lady! When Holly announced they would be back in the UK, and most importantly Edinburgh for a full year, I was beyond excited! Finally I could catch up with my friend and meet the two kids - now both a bit older - 6 and 3-and-a-half. We met in Edinburgh, on a glorious autumn day, and explored the Lauriston Castle grounds together. The kids were so eager to climb trees and throw leaves, it was just too easy to take photographs! Eventually, we wanted to take a photo of mum and her two children, but they weren't having any of it! I particularly love the photos at the end - scroll down - they are just so typical of what can happen at photo sessions. They still capture the essence of the family (next time daddy will be there too!!). Sooo nice to see you Holly!!! xx
