When I lived in Germany, before I moved to Scotland, I had this romantic view of Scotland, the misty rolling hills, the Scottish Highlands, the Isle of Skye, the old Scottish Castles. I just loved everything about Scotland and now I am here, I get to work and live in this amazing country with its beautiful old buildings and amazing countryside.
When my fiancé proposed, there was no question - we had to have a Scottish island wedding - preferably on the beach!
Planning a wedding from abroad, or even as close as England, Wales or Ireland, can be challenging. I know because I speak from experience! Our wedding will be on the Outer Hebrides - Isle of Harris - later in 2018. We are keen to employ local suppliers who know the area and are experienced enough to deal with the surprises the Scottish weather sometimes has in store for you.
Regardless if you are planning your wedding from the UK, or if you live abroad, I am happy to help you create the wedding of your dreams. I have worked at many weddings across Scotland and have dealt with pretty much every weather situation you can imagine - and still came out smiling with lots of romantic wedding photographs!
Wedding photography packages in Scotland can sometimes be very confusing, with lots of different options, add-ons and son. I have tried to simplify this for you and help you with your planning process for your romantic wedding in Scotland.
All day means from the bridal preparations until the first three dances in the evening.
Your wedding day starts with all the girls getting ready in the morning, and there are some lovely moments which cannot be missed. I will be there, ready to capture the laughter and the emotions well before you start walking down the aisle, and I will still be taking photographs during the first few dances too - whenever they are, to make sure in years to come you can remember every element of your wedding day. Every time you look at your wedding photographs, they will bring back your wedding memories down to the last detail every time you look at them.
Your wedding photographs will be ready no later than 4 weeks after your wedding.
You can never have too many photos, right? I always take so many photographs at weddings because I am very aware that the people present are your dearest family members and friends; and the little details you have planned and prepared for for months. Each photograph is carefully edited by myself and they will all be ready approximately three to four weeks after your wedding.
All edited photographs are included in the package for you, in high resolution, for download or on a USB stick.
If it's important to me, it must be important to you! I cannot imagine NOT having all the photos, so you will of course receive all your edited wedding photographs on a USB stick.
All images will be uploaded to your own password-protected online gallery for easy sharing with family and friends.
Once you have received your wedding photographs, you can select your favourite images for your wedding album. I can send you my detailed price guide for more information about the albums I can provide.
PS: I can help you selecting your wedding photographs for your album. I have a great process which makes selecting the photos for your album fun and easy!
Looking for a photographer and it must be the hardest thing trying to find someone you can trust doing this important job. And then there's is the slight thing of having to be in front of the camera... posing... eek!!
Phew, so many words... I hope I have provided all the information you need to get started. If you want to read on, check out my wedding photography jargon page. If you're still a little confused, check the article I wrote about what is normally included in wedding photography packages.
Every year, I receive approximately 120 enquiries, but I can only accept 20 wedding bookings per year as I want to provide the best service I can and really focus on my couples' big day. My diary fills up quickly and my couples book up to 2 years in advance.
Before giving me all your details about your wedding, let's find out first if the date is still free in my diary. After that, we can start having a chat and I can send you more information about how I work, and other product options in my detailed price guide.
