We know

Dear Janice,
I have been
planning to have a newsletter for ages, just never took the time to
actually create one. So - may I proudly present our very first Nadin
Dunnigan Photography Newsletter. There will be a monthly photography
competition for all of you! (Yes, you have read correctly - we
are asking you to take photographs!) And you can find out what
we have been up to in the last few weeks. Enjoy ;-)
Just thought I would start with one of my favourite images I took
this summer...

You are
receiving this newsletter because I personally know you, because you
are a friend, or a client, or because we have met somewhere, had a
chat and exchanged business cards. If you'd rather not receive this
newsletter, please un-subscribe using the link at the bottom of this
one. I'm planning to have only one newsletter per month! Honest!

Photo
Competition for you!
Now, this
sounds really weird! The competition is called "13". Why?
Because it will run over 13 months! Starting in December 2009,
finishing in December 2010.
Who can take part? Anybody who has a camera phone or a compact camera
and knows me!
What do you need to photograph? I will tell you that in advance.
What are the prizes?
Please check my blog to find out!!
And yes, it's free to enter.
I took the below image yesterday with my (now old!!) Olympus Mju 720
compact camera.

Considering
a studio photo session before Christmas?
Our
photography lab has just announced that their cut-off date for
guaranteed Christmas delivery is the 11th December. So the last date
for me to be able to take photographs, then edit, then present to our
clients is the 6th December. So if you are looking for this special
wedding present this Christmas - call soon - 01506 655 422. We still
have a few studio appointments left. Evening and weekend too, but
they are filling up quickly...

Our
photography lab phoned...
Ok.. when I receive a phone call from my lab it's
usually because there is a question about an order. But not this
time. Their graphic designer had a look at our website and she liked
what she saw. She asked for some our photographs from recent shoots
so they can use them for their own advertising promotions. This is
fantastic news as our images are now displayed by the UK's best
photography lab. What an acknowledgement! Thank you!

New
children's magazine launched in Edinburgh in September 2009
Raring2go is a UK-wide well-known children's magazine full of
articles relating to children's activities, places to go in and
around Edinburgh and what to do during the next three months.
Raring2Go just recently added Edinburgh to their portfolio. Nicola
Barcley is the editor of this magazine and required a stunning
photograph for the first edition of the magazine which went out in
September. We met up in June and with two amazing little models, we
pretended it was autumn and had lots of fun while creating an amazing
set of images.

A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure to take
photographs of this stunning girl in the grounds of the Norton House
Hotel. There was a lot of opportunity for photographs in the grounds
for all sorts of different looks and images.
We are planning to have fashion days regularly in the future. If you
or your friends are interested in this, please let us know. See some more examples on
our blog!

The
one with the dog (wedding)
Every wedding tells a unique story and there is always
one thing that we remember it by. This one - our good friends Regis
and Donna were married on St Lucia, but had a party for their friends
and family when they came back to the UK. Donna has a lovely dog - a
dalmatian. Because he is an important family member, they were keen
to include Troy in the photographs. Unfortunately, the dog transport
cancelled ten minutes before the limo was due. So, Troy took a seat
in the back seat of my car and waited for things to come.
During the journey to the hotel, Troy started licking the back
window. When I opened it, he was only too happy to stick his head out
and enjoy the fresh air. When I arrived at the hotel, I looked at my
back seat and I thought it had been snowing...! I was worried Troy
had any hairs left, because his white hair covered the dark blue
seats nicely.
A big "OOOOOPS" from Regis, and Donna's joy to see her dog
made us forgive them and he does look great in the photos ;-)

Oh la la! (don't tell the
hubby - just yet!)
In case you
didn't know - we have been quite busy recently with Boudoir
photography. "What's that?" you may wonder? Well, this is
either a treat for a girl or a treat for the partner or husband to
be. We take some sensual photographs either at a hotel or in our
studio and the partner is then surprised with either an amazing album
or stunning framed picures.
For brides, it's a great excuse to show off your wedding lingerie to
the one you love. Not that you really need an excuse!

One last question: What's on your Christmas Wish List?
