Holly and James’ Wedding at Houstoun House Hotel – the full story

It’s been a busy Summer and I am only just managing to upload a few more photographs of the most recent weddings to my blog. Holly and James celebrated their fantastic wedding day at Houstoun House Hotel at the beginning of July. Even though it was raining (a lot!) in the afternoon, we still managed to create quite a selection of photographs for the two of them. 🙂

I spent the morning with Holly in Edinburgh, and James got ready at Houstoun House Hotel. Everything was so relaxed and everybody was well prepared. I always find it very exciting seeing different stages of dressing up, make up, hair etc. Holly had her dress made in New Zealand and has spent a considerable amount of time with her designer to get it just right. During the whole day, you could see little details here and there that were perfectly matched to Holly and James and their family and friends. It was a very romantic ceremony and one of their best friends played a song for them which sounded amazing!

As we tried to get a photograph of everybody outside, the heavens opened, but this didn’t stop us taking the bride and groom for a walk. We always have lots of umbrellas with us and as long as they stay dry, we will still create lots of lovely photographs!

We stayed well into the night and took photographs of their first few dances. They had hired the band “Coila” which were really good. They explained the ceilidh dancing perfectly and the floor was packed from the word go.

Below is a (erm) little selection of their fantastic wedding day – from start to finish 🙂 Enjoy! XX
